It's not a Wedgie!

Our trip to the pool today was rather interesting. I know they have started the building of the new pool this week. All I can say is that they/we really need it. The pool itself is do-able, but the change rooms NEED help. The main reason is that there are no family change rooms. For our family, we are 3 girls and one boy. So, guess who has to do all the work. ME, that's who.

We were so excited to go swimming as a family. We get our locker key and pay for our stay; we walk into the change room and my girls are vibrating with excitiment they start pulling any clothes they can off. To our dismay, there is a 10/11 year old boy dripping wet in the change room with his mom. Really? Of course we find the closest available change room (there are all of 2 of them). We get dressed...taking our time since I am only one person, then having to get myself ready. We pick up our gear and head back to the locker to stuff our things in to find the boy now standing necked in the middle of the room. What?

The swim was great. Seanna passed the swim test (her first time) in order to go into the deep end, Cam got a free lifejacket rental. The lifeguard did say that they were 1.00, but the GST is now impleted so they are now around 1.67ish. LOL. She must be getting a cut, because my math says it should be 1.05. (I'm a well seasoned dollar store shopper).

We worked on Seanna's diving, or rather belly flop. Calvin showed her how to do it. It ended up in a tidal wave and him muttering something in a really high voice. After that, I knew I had to show her/them. I started with a couple jumps, feet first off of the diving board. But when I did my dive, everyone was impressed. Seanna got the jist of it and started diving like a crazy person. Good job Seanna! My last dive did me in, however. I line it up, take the dive, but somehow I did a freakin flip which ended up with my bottoms falling half way off. I kid you not. So now that I had everyone watching my spectacular dives they now have seen my arse...not so spectacular. Well...after getting water out of all my orfices...hot tub time!

Changing was OK, but when I got the second kid ready and out the door to go sit with dad, because he was ready in 2 minutes. I found myself still in my wet, cold, soggy swim suit. NICE. Would have liked some help. PLEASE city of Wetaskiwin make family change rooms!

(no swim suit wedgies were made during this blog....quite the opposite)....
